Unstoppable Domains and Amazon Web Services (AWS) recently held a global virtual hackathon that attracted an impressive 1,162 participants from all over the world. The event, hosted on Devpost.com, brought together developers to explore the possibilities of combining AWS’s cloud computing capabilities with Unstoppable Domains’ blockchain-based digital identity solutions.
During the hackathon, participants were tasked with creating innovative projects that leveraged AWS’s artificial intelligence stack, UD Resolution API, and UD Partner API, in order to enhance the utility of Web3 domains and AWS cloud services. A total of 55 projects were submitted, each showcasing unique and creative solutions that pushed the boundaries of what is possible with Unstoppable Domains and AWS technologies.
A substantial prize pool of $187,000 was awarded across three categories: AI-Driven Tooling, Resolution & User Experience, and Digital Identity. The quality of submissions was impressive, highlighting the growing momentum in Web3 and AI technologies.
Some of the standout projects included AdToken, a platform for blockchain advertising that offers gas-free payments and on-chain reporting. Another notable project was Web3-GPT, which simplifies Unstoppable Domains resolution using AI Agents. DomainGPT, a Telegram bot, streamlines domain-related tasks, making it easier for users to retrieve domain statistics.
The judging panel included experts from AWS and Unstoppable Domains, such as Brad Feinstein and Sandy Carter. The panel evaluated each project based on factors such as Creativity and Innovation, User Experience and Design, and Commercial Viability.
