The Future of NFTs at World Expos: SBI Holdings and Ripple Collaboration

SBI Holdings, a financial services company based in Tokyo, Japan, has made an exciting announcement regarding the upcoming World Expo 2025. In collaboration with Ripple, they have introduced an NFT minting service on the XRP Ledger as part of the ‘EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet’ project. This initiative aims to revolutionize the way attendees engage with the Expo through unique digital collectibles.

The service, named ‘Myaku N!’, will be accessible through the EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet and is exclusive to only 500 users. Attendees can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to receive free NFTs. These NFTs are minted on the XRPL and will be part of the ‘MYAKU-N!’ project, offering a one-of-a-kind digital experience for Expo participants.

Users can earn and collect NFTs by participating in various Expo activities, both in the physical and online realms, through the ‘MyakuMyaku Reward Program’. By charging ‘Myakupe!’ – the Expo’s electronic money, users can enhance their experience and standings within the NFT ecosystem. This innovative approach encourages active engagement and interaction among attendees.

Starting July 1, users can collect original NFTs from the EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet. Additionally, users have the option to create their NFTs by uploading their chosen images, making the experience inclusive and personalized, even for newcomers to the NFT space. This user-friendly approach aims to cater to the diverse audience of 28.2 million visitors expected at the Expo.

The NFTs will be available for real-time viewing through the NFT explorer Bithomp. However, after October 13, 2025, when the EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet closes, the NFTs will no longer be visible. To further incentivize participation, the initiative includes lucky draws, prizes, and the ‘Myakumyakupon!’ gift campaign, offering users opportunities to acquire rare NFTs and engage with the event in unique ways.

The collaboration between SBI Holdings and Ripple to introduce NFTs at the World Expo highlights the potential for blockchain technology and digital assets to transform mainstream events. This initiative sets a precedent for utilizing crypto-related technologies to enhance user experiences and showcase innovative applications in different industries. The future of NFTs at World Expos looks promising with this groundbreaking partnership.
