The Future of Blockchain Gaming in South Korea

The gaming-focused blockchain Oasys recently announced a strategic partnership with Vortex Gaming, a South Korean gaming community platform under Inven, a leading gaming platform in South Korea. This partnership aims to broaden Oasys’ reach in the Korean market, allowing Vortex players to access the latest blockchain-based games available on Oasys. By leveraging Inven’s extensive Korean gamer community, which dominates 80% of the gaming webzine sector, Oasys hopes to engage with South Korean gamers and introduce them to blockchain gaming experiences. This collaboration not only drives user acquisition but also promotes the adoption of blockchain technology within Korea’s vibrant gaming community.

Vortex Gaming, known for its content-driven gaming community, aims to simplify the discovery of blockchain and metaverse games for players. The platform has established partnerships with major Web3 companies like NEAR Protocol, MARBLEX, and METABORA SINGAPORE to optimize its service for Web3 games. With a popular social media gaming platform that offers guild functions across multiple games, Vortex Gaming is dedicated to driving Web3 adoption through quality content on game info and token economies. It provides a global playground for gamers to connect, interact, and earn rewards, making it a valuable partner for Oasys in expanding its presence in South Korea.

Oasys, already a leading gaming chain in the Korean market, continues to build upon its success with the launch of XPLA Verse, an L2 on Oasys created in collaboration with South Korea’s Com2uS Group. The platform aims to onboard more Web3 users while making it easier for players to explore the unique features of blockchain gaming, which has been gaining significant traction in East Asia. As the first project under the Oasys-Vortex partnership, Ubisoft’s “Champions Tactics” is launching a campaign targeting INVEN’s audience through Vortex Gaming’s services. Scheduled to run from June 26 to July 7, the campaign involves completing missions and staking $OAS tokens for a chance to win whitelist spots for minting NFTs from Ubisoft’s Web3 game, Champions Tactics.

The partnership between Oasys and Vortex Gaming marks a significant step towards the widespread adoption of blockchain gaming in South Korea. By leveraging each other’s strengths and reaching a broader audience through strategic collaborations, both platforms are poised to drive innovation and growth in the ever-evolving gaming industry. As blockchain technology continues to revolutionize the way we play and interact in virtual worlds, partnerships like this pave the way for a more immersive and interconnected gaming experience for players worldwide.
