Aavegotchi, a unique Web3 game that combines NFT collectibles, decentralized finance (DeFi), and gaming, has recently announced the upcoming Rarity Farming Season 8. This season comes with a significant 150,000 GHST prize pool and various new features designed to elevate the competitive experience for players.
The tournament schedule for Season 8 includes key dates for players to mark on their calendars. Registration for the 10K GHST Tournament opens from June 17 at 2 PM to June 24 at 2 PM UTC, followed by the registration for the 40K GHST Tournament from July 1 at 2 PM to July 8 at 2 PM UTC. Finally, the registration for the 100K GHST Tournament will be open from July 8 at 2 PM to July 15 at 2 PM UTC. Each round of the tournament will kick off 12 hours after the registration period closes, with subsequent rounds starting 12 hours after the previous round concludes.
Players interested in participating in the Aavegotchi tournaments must visit the Gotchi Battler website, select the tournament they wish to join, and click the “Create Team” button. They are required to choose five Gotchis and can also select two optional substitutes to form their team. It is essential for players to assign a team leader and decide on their formation. Once the team configuration is finalized, players can save it and prepare for the upcoming competition.
For players who may not have the required Gotchis for the tournament, the “Gotchi Lending” tab on the tournament page offers a solution. Players can rent eligible Gotchis to strengthen their teams. Additionally, players who possess unused Gotchis can lend them to others through the official Aavegotchi dapp, earning GHST in return. It is recommended that the lending period should cover the registration duration to ensure that wearables remain consistent before the tournament begins. Aavegotchi advises lenders to set the upfront cost based on their Gotchi’s Base Rarity Score (BRS) and the prize pool of the tournament.
Season 8 introduces double-elimination tournaments, providing participants with two opportunities to compete before facing elimination. If a team loses a match, they will move to the loser’s bracket, where they will have a chance to fight their way back to the top. Moreover, teams can now have two substitutes, allowing players to swap Gotchis between rounds to better adapt to opponents’ strategies. This flexibility can play a crucial role in securing victory. In between each round, there will be a preparation phase where teams can make strategic adjustments. This phase enables players to swap Gotchis, change their team leader, and modify their formation, giving them a tactical advantage in the upcoming battles.
The Aavegotchi Rarity Farming Season 8 promises an exciting and competitive experience for players. With the introduction of double-elimination tournaments, the option for substitutes, and a preparation phase for strategic adjustments, players have the opportunity to showcase their skills and creativity in the world of Aavegotchi.
