The Crypto Wealth Report 2024 by Henley & Partners revealed a significant increase in the number of individuals holding over $1 million in digital assets. The report stated that the number of Bitcoin millionaires has grown notably, with the total value of the crypto market reaching $2.3 trillion, marking an 89% increase from the previous year.

The report also highlighted the growth of crypto centi-millionaires and billionaires, showing a 79% increase in the former and a 27% uptick in the latter. The rise in wealth among millionaires has outpaced those with higher fortunes, with Bitcoin playing a major role in this trend.

With the increasing wealth in the crypto market, investment migration has become more relevant. Singapore remains the top destination for investors, followed by Hong Kong and the UAE. These countries offer favorable conditions such as tax advantages and advanced digital economies, making them attractive to crypto investors.

Several experts in the field emphasized the transformative effect of digital assets on global finance. António Henriques, CEO of Bison Bank, highlighted the challenge that digital assets pose to traditional fiat currencies. Coinshare co-founder Jean-Marie Mognetti noted that the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs by the SEC is facilitating broader institutional engagement. Henry Burrows, the top executive at Hoptrail, observed a shift in wealth generation towards virtual assets. Lark Davis, founder of Wealth Mastery, spoke of Ethereum’s pivotal role in the sector, while Guneet Kaur of Cointelegraph pointed out the growing importance of stablecoins as a reliable investment during market fluctuations.
